The client will be asked to remove their shoes before entering the room so that we can take a look at how your body is feeling during the session. If you feel comfortable with this then no problem please do not hesitate to book an appointment.
If however if you are uncomfortable having anyone see where you have been walking barefoot or wearing socks but would like to know more about our services without revealing any personal information than let us know as soon as possible. We also offer private sessions on request.
During the consultation process Ingrid will ask questions about what has brought you into her clinic today. This allows her to gain insight into your needs and goals which she uses to create a customised plan tailored specifically towards you. She may suggest some simple self care techniques such as deep breathing exercises to help manage anxiety, muscle tension or pain relief.
After the initial consultative meeting, there will usually be two appointments scheduled within one week time frame. The first visit involves a detailed assessment including:
• Body mapping
• Muscle testing
• Deep tissue work
This helps establish a baseline level of health and wellbeing. During these sessions your RMT will use various tools, such as pressure points, reflexology, vibration therapy, acupressure and cupping to address specific issues.

We recommend scheduling 1 – 2 visits per week depending upon your lifestyle and schedule. However, sometimes life gets busy and people find themselves needing extra attention. It's important to keep in mind that all of our therapists are highly skilled professionals who understand when additional support is needed. They'll make sure they're available whenever you require them.
Does he provide aromatherapy?
Absolutely! Aromatherapy oils are used throughout the Registered Massage Therapists experience. These include essential oils that promote calmness, relaxation and well-being. Some examples include lavender oil, chamomile oil, rosemary oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, etc. Your therapist will select the appropriate scent based on your preferences.
I am pregnant…can I still get a massage?
Massaging pregnant women is very safe and beneficial.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
Massagers often begin by asking clients to describe their current state of wellness and identify areas of concern. Once the client is ready, the masseuse begins a thorough examination using both hands and fingers to locate tight muscles, sore spots and other tender areas. As part of the exam, the masseur will apply light pressure to test sensitivity levels. After determining whether certain pressures cause discomfort, the practitioner applies firm pressure until the area becomes relaxed and feels good again.
Can I bring someone along with me?
Of course! You can always invite friends and family members along for complimentary treatments. Just remember that everyone must sign up separately and pay individually.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, we don't currently accept insurances. But rest assured that we strive to give every client 100% satisfaction and quality service. Our goal is to exceed expectations and become your go-to place for holistic healing.
